Description
Antique Jackson & Co. Sheaf Island Works, Sheffield fixed blade utility, camp, or bowie knife. Makers mark on blade and ricasso. "A. GALE" stamped on ricasso, hilt twice and on sheath leather. Blade measures approx. 8-1/2" long, 12-3/4" overall. British knife maker Samuel C. Wragg worked at the location of William Jackson and some of his later knives are marked "Sheaf Island Works". Aaron Gale was a Civil War soldier with "D" Company Ohio 128th Infantry but we have not confirmed this was his knife. This item can be shipped in-house.
