Description
WWII-era Imperial Japanese Type 14 Nambu pistol holster constructed of rubberized canvas with leather reinforcement, classified as JMCH T Type IX per Japanese Military Cartridge Handguns by Derby & Brown. Features include blackened metal belt loops, an internal ammunition pouch under the lid, firing pin sleeve with pin, and a cleaning rod stored along the inside left panel. The exterior is marked in white with katakana and kanji identifying the owner as Takahashi. The interior of the flap bears the inked name “Kiyoshi Takahashi.” (Side note: A soldier of that name was among fourteen Japanese troops executed by the U.S. Navy for war crimes on Guam — among them murder and cannibalism — though no documentation confirms a connection tothis item.)
