1898 scrap book by Hiram Price Collier, Unitarian minister and author, assigned to the U.S.S. Prairie as an Ensign for the Spanish American War. Stationed in the Caribbean Sea to aid the American blockade of Cuba. Includes maps, period newspaper clippings, political cartoons, and photographs of many ships. Signal code key, handwritten confidential document that would have been held by the signal officer comprises one page. Commission attached inside the front cover, discharge inside the backcover.
