19th century 1/6th sixth plate tintype of a British Indian Army officer wearing a Home Service Helmet. Hand colored with tinted flushed cheeks, gold gilt helmet spike and belt buckle. Crisp image with good contrast. Case overall approx. 3-1/8″ x 3-5/8″. Excellent condition. Typical wear to case including repaired hinge.
