Description
Two antique copperplate engraved maps by Guillaume Del’Isle (1675-1726), both dated 1703 and published in Paris. Titled “Carte de la Terre Ferme du Perou du Bresil et du Pays des Amazones” and “Carte du Paraguay du Chili du Detroit de Magellan &c,” each map details the geography of early 18th-century South America with hand-colored outlines and elaborate cartouches. Northern map has some creasing to left side, Southern map has a small foxing spot. See images.
