Outstanding watercolor by John Pike (American, 1911-1979) depicting a young man paddling a small boat as an older man, possibly his grandfather, drops an anchor over the stern. A large aquatic bird flies in the upper left foreground. Signed lower left. Arguably one of the artist’s finest watercolors. Sight size 23″ x 16″ in 35-1/2″ x 28-1/2″ frame. This item will need to be shipped by a packing company of your choice. We maintain a list of reliable shippers, or you may choose your own.
