Description
Wood and iron sculpture by Dirube (Cuban, 1928-1997). Signed with Dirube’s circular mark on one side of base. The artist was born in Havana, and studied in the U.S. before returning to Havana. He later fled to the U.S., later settling in Puerto Rico, where he is credited with contributing to the development of fine art there. Sculpture measures 28″ high and 4-1/8″ x 4-5/8″. One of several pieces of important 20th century art pieces by Cuban artists (from the same Florida collection) in today’s auction. This item will need to be shipped by a packing company of your choice. We maintain a list of reliable shippers, or you may choose your own.
