Framed Civil War veteran’s service certificate for John L Martin of the 11th Regiment and 142nd Regiment Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry. Printed by Pettibone Brothers Mfg Co, 1883, and published for the Army and Navy Record Co. Color lithograph with manuscript details of Martin’s service, including enlistment in April 1861, discharge in July 1861, re-enlistment in August 1862, wounding in December 1862, and honorable discharge in 1863. Decorative patriotic imagery with eagle, battle scenes, Union soldiers, and a portrait of Abraham Lincoln. Inscribed as presented to John W and Lizzie A in 1902. Framed to 35″ x 29″.
